Still got some making to do but I am TOTALLY KEEN to come this sunday! I have work on Saturday so Sunday would be perfect!

I met William once at a pre-release a couple of years ago (he won't remember me) and he told me about this site. 

I'm an ex MTG player who lives in Ashhurst (I'm 35), I used to mainly just go to pre-releases and play casually with my friends. We used to play 60 card highlander when we all caught up (most of my friends are in Auckland now, lol), the idea being, that after any new set, we can just randomly throw our fave cards into a deck.

What formats do you guys play?  I have made a proxy 540 cube to use when my friends rarely meet up, and as for my "real" cards, I have a 60 card highlander that can easily be changed to an EDH deck.

Do you play Cube or EDH? Or just play standard? If any of you guys wanted to cube or EDH, I would be keen to come along, even just once a month. 

I also play a few other Euro board games and of course video games

We play whatever the heck we want depending on the people (Side note, I got drafted to work saturday sunday so unable to come T^T)

Bring any decks, we are very lenient , we do have one rule though, If you play to douchey decks we are allowed to punch you in the jaw :3

This is a relatively new rule due to recent decks made by Chris XD

But otherwise we would LOVE to have you along! We meet up at the Ashhurst Library most weeks, usually need to stay tuned to see if its on

I don't own many newer cards, so am super keen to try some cube. I really like the concept behind cube - turning MTG more into a boxed game, playable out of the one box.

Do you guys go into the Badcave to play at all? Or FNM?

Always been meaning too, but this lil MTG Turn out is our Games really XD

Sent Grant a text, he says he won't know if he can come until a bit later, will let us know when he knows for sure.

I don't think any of us have played cube before, but new stuff is always cool

I go to the Badcave every now and then, not as often as I'd like though!

Most of us have at least one EDH or highlander deck each. For the most part many of the decks we play are probably mostly legal in extended, aside from the odd really ancient card.

At the moment (Sat night) I'm a starter for tomorrow. Kev:cheers:

As you can tell, I friggin love it, any format that allows you to Mindslaver your opponent so that you can attempt to Liliana their *team-mates* Baneslayer, but instead have your team-mate be forced to Angel of Dispair the Liliana out of desperation, is a format that I want to play!

You get similar lol's with 100 card highlander (which I will build for next time) but it's always fun to draft up a new deck each time from the Cube.

Will catch you next time, probably in 2-3 weeks.

FYI: A Cube is always a work in progress. Feel free to tell me any of your fave cards and I will just proxy them up and chuck them in to the mix.
