| Another good Ironworks combo:
1. Play Krark-Clan Ironworks, Sword of the Meek and Thopter Foundry 2. Pay one and sack the sword to the foundry, gaining 1 life, putting a 1/1 with flying into play and returning the sword to play attached to the 1/1. 3. Sack the thopter to the ironworks, adding 2. Cycle between sword and tokens. Infinite mana, life and 1/1 blue flying artifact creatures.

| I was playing Sam several days ago (with my recently developed anti-Slipper deck).... I was on 15 life and Sam was on 16, and considered myself in an un-winnable position. I had in play 'Nether Traiter' (1-1 Shadow) and comboed 'Hatred' for the stalemate. Unfortunatlely it all backfired when Sam 'Marsh gased' the Traiter for -2,0. | |

| I know what Marsh Gas is, it just seems like an un-Sam card to play. More of a Jonathan card actually... | |

| Confusion in the Ranks-Sky Swallower-Brand To address your comment, Andy, you could actually say Chris is 'student', as it is Sam who introduced him to MTG. It it also Sam who introduced William to it, and me and peter, in turn, who introduced him to it. (In fact, both of us have been playing at least as long as Kevin, although we didn't know him then.) In conclusion, it depends on how deep you want to go into this. | |

| Yes Max is quite correct, though on this occassion I did actually go on to beat Sam but there was only a turn in it.
It was a beat-down, since it fit into the short game scenario that you described.
