Drafting Ravnica

I most likely won't be ordering this time round, but I would be keen on drafting. Ravnica, Shadowmoor, Time Spiral and Planar Chaos are the four we whittled the choices down to.

Sounds good, how many boosters per person was that?
How about 4? i.e. one of each of the above?

We were thinking 1 tournament pack and one or two boosters to go with it. How much would that cost?

do they even sell tournament packs on wizards cupboard?

boosters are between 2 and 3 dollars i believe
If its just drafting the 4 different sets are fine
if we re gonna play with what we get they should be the same set
or at least similar

We'll need the tournament packs unless someone agrees to provide lands.

could possibly do a deal with heroes for some cheap tournament packs if we agree on the set, and get them all at once. As they were freely selling them for $15 each for the askign a while back, im sure we could get some good discounts with a bit of luck and that.

I modified this topic so we can see preferences as to how many boosters, if not a tournament pack, we draft.

Apparently, most of us favor making sealed decks using Rav. We've now run into a second potential problem: we might not be able to get that many tournament packs. Everybody okay if we default back to Shadowmoor if Rav doesn't work out

I prefer shadowmoor to rav for this.

Also the exchange rate hit a new low, so it might actually be cheaper to buy them from Heroes...

I change my vote to Shadowmoor as well, as it is more definite, Sam's OK with it, and peter wanted it as well. So, should we make Shadowmoor our final decision and look into price per person?

Heros will give me:
20% discount on a Shadowmoor booster box,
i.e. 36 boosters @ $5-20 each.

This is likely to be as good as from US atm with the current XRate of 0.54 $/$ and P&P &Insurance..

So that is $20-80 each for 4x boosters for 9 people,
or
$26 ea for 5x boosters for 7 people.
