| To be honest, I have no good reason to start this forum, but a little off-topic spamming does good for the soul (which is why I hesitated). Uh, anyways, this is more directed of those who know how to play BFW (obviously). I started this game a while back eg. two months ago, using a 150x150 home-made map. I wanted to prove that Drakes (which supposedly are the worst race) are actually not that bad by pitting myself as drakes against one opponent of every race (incl. drakes), and they quickly defeated Rebels, Undead and Loyalists. The northeners aren't too much of a problem (as they do positively suck), but the dwarves are posing a big problem by swarming out my troops. Enemy drakes actually had the upper hand for twenty of so turns, besieging my keep, but I'm staring to push towards the enemy keep. Just out of interest, my new Avatar is from the gaze attack from the eye guardian in the beginner campaign, expert level. | |

| Off-topic spamming is good for the soul? Hmmmm....
Dwarves, you say? Could be a tough one. It's best to lure them out into the open, they're practically unkillable in the mountains (unless you want to take huge losses)
You could just fly right past their army, and assasinate their leader...
Are you playing freeforall or are they all teamed up against you? | |

| Free for all. Maybe I should talk a bit more about my map. The dwarves are located in a desert in the bottom right corner of the map, Orcs top right, wich is covered in snow. My leader sits in a cave, which has four entry points, although flying units can enter easily via the chasms. The dwarves either come through the river or desert, go through a mountain chain, and the main battlefield is on a forest/grassland mix on my front door. The orcs occasionally send nagas or direwolf riders into my cavern, but saurian soothsayers deal with the no-problem (the north has rockbound caverns in which only saurians, trolls and dwarves navigate easily.) The dwarves would be easy to deal with once I pushed them back behind the mountain chain (it is two hexes by seven approx.), as the river which cuts across the whole map is heavily guarded by a killer thunderguard/beserker combo. | |

| Ah, yes, the enemy drakes. They're on a heavily guarded offshore island, but I have about a dozen Wardens, a handful of Blademasters and a lot of Saurians to take care of them | |

| Aargh, turn 100 and still no advances. The dwarves' reign of terror has been ended permanently by a critical attack on their flank, one-shot blasting their leader, but they still have 134 units on the map (the smallest army, by the way). I've more or less given up the orcish side, and am retreating to a defensive position after all the healers were slaugthered, but the enemy drakes are steadily being pushed back (despite having over 25000 gold at their disposal!) Overall, two pros balanced out by a massive con. | |

| Turn 149: last leader down. Say william, have you ever gotten a severe server bug that puts two game servers so out of sync that entire teams are seen in one computer but not in the other, you could move enemy units, some units are on negative hp while others are healing at tenfold the normal regeneration rate, and random units died when upgrading? | |

| Nah. There turned out to be a difference in the inferno drake files, a different amount of hp or something trivial like that. | |

| Nope, don't have it. We use the standard maps or randomly generated ones. | |

| The power cut today interrupted my Wesnoth download and corrupted the package manager. However, with some console magic I managed to get it working again, and miraculously, I can run Wesnoth fully with only 10% of the download finished! | |

| As I said about the gathering, I'm busy Sunday. Grandparent's birthday. Unavoidable. Might be able to get online, but not for long. | |
